Silicon wafers serve as starting products for solar cells and are produced in special furnaces. Optimum positioning of the wafers is a basic requirement for all manufacturing processes in the furnaces. Loading of the furnaces, some of which are well over 1,832 °F, is carried out by a fully automated unit controlled by software. In order to prevent manufacturing errors, rejects and damage to the overall construction, the linear modules and rotary table of the loading unit are additionally protected by ACE's TUBUS TR-HD profile dampers.
