In case of an emergency, ACE safety shock absorbers in driving simulation capsules ensure the protection of man and machine
The aim was to protect a driving simulation capsule on two of its eight axes. The demands placed on a potential emergency stopper were high because it was clear that its failure would lead to massive damage to the complete construction as well as to the capsule. Even the possibility of damage to the health of the test personnel could not be ruled out and was taken into consideration in a diverse range of mass-speed combinations. Two ACE safety shock absorbers from ACE's product family SCS38 to SCS63 now safely contain destructive forces, e.g. during power outages, and eliminate high risks.
